1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the LineaHoy app or the lineahoy.com website you accept these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service description
LineaHoy is an informational app that displays wait times at the ports of entry between Mexico and the United States. Information comes from official sources (CBP) and from community user reports.
Displayed times are indicative. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy — they may vary due to unforeseen congestion, procedure changes by officers, port schedules, or errors in source data. When we detect that official data appears outdated, we flag it, but it is not always possible to know.
3. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use LineaHoy. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we detect such an account, we delete it.
4. User account
You can use LineaHoy without an account. If you choose to create one (with Google or Apple), you are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
5. Acceptable use
By using LineaHoy you agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading reports.
- Post offensive, illegal, or defamatory content, or content that exposes identifiable people without their consent (for example, photos showing license plates, faces, or personal data of third parties).
- Harass, threaten, or single out other people.
- Attempt to access restricted parts of the system, breach its security, or flood the API with automated requests.
- Use the app for illegal purposes, including facilitating smuggling or evading border controls.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the code without authorization.
6. Content you post
The LineaHoy Community lets you post reports, comments, reactions, and photos. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and process that content to operate the service. Your content remains yours.
You are responsible for what you post. To protect everyone's privacy, LineaHoy is designed to report facts, not to single out people: avoid uploading images that identify specific individuals.
7. Moderation
We may hide or remove content that violates these terms, without prior notice, to keep the community safe and useful. Community posts have a limited lifespan and are automatically deleted after a period of time (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Advertising
The app displays paid third-party ads (for example, local businesses in border areas) and affiliate links. We do not endorse the advertised products or services; any transaction between the user and the advertiser is the responsibility of the parties involved.
9. Premium subscription
LineaHoy will offer an optional Premium plan with additional features. When active, we will publish the specific terms of payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds as an addendum to these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
LineaHoy is provided "as is" and "as available". We assume no liability for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service — including, for example, making travel decisions based on times shown that differ from actual times.
11. Modifications
We may modify these terms at any time. We'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continued use after a modification means you accept the new version.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these terms, with no prior notice required. You may stop using the app at any time with no penalty.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of the city of Tijuana, Baja California.
